Sliding Barn Door

The large sliding barn door is just over 8 feet tall. It is made from MDF and Pine Wood. Spacers were used to ensure even spacing in the design and the hardware was purchased ahead of time and installed by me. I have since upgraded my finishing technique and am confidant that I could get a more even and smooth finish on a second build.

I included a picture of this one in progress to show that a exposed raw wood finish could be done as well (there wouldn’t be a bunch of staples in every board) . Different designs and patterns are an option as well.

Measurements are crucial for this build as well as a knowledge of the area of installation so that the correct hardware can be purchased. I would love to make one of these with a raw wood finish with any wood of choice.
